Active didn’t start as just a brand for me—it started as a response.

I saw the same thing a lot of people in paintball have seen for years.

There was a hole in the industry. Ordering gear for teams felt outdated, restrictive, and honestly not built for the players.

Templates, limitations, slow processes—it never felt personal. I didn’t just want to point it out, I wanted to change it.

So I built Active.

I wanted to create something that made the experience better for the customer.

Something where teams could actually get gear that felt like theirs—no limits, no cookie-cutter designs, just clean, performance-driven gear built the right way.

But “Active” means more than just the brand.

After I lost my mom, I went through a period that I can only really describe as depression.

Everything slowed down. Mentally, it was heavy.

And I realized pretty quickly that if I stayed still, it got worse.

So I didn’t let myself stay still.

I would find something physical to do.

I just kept myself active—physically and mentally—because that was the only way I knew how to keep moving forward.

And I didn’t do it alone.

The support from the people around me carried me through it—my loved ones, especially Nicole, my Slugking family, and all the players at the local fields.

Being around that environment, that energy, that community—it kept me grounded.

It reminded me why I love this sport and why I keep showing up.

Paintball became more than just something I enjoyed.

It became an outlet.

A reset.

A way to keep going.

That mindset is what Active is built on.

It’s not just about performance gear—it’s about movement.

It’s about pushing forward no matter what’s going on.

It’s about not letting yourself sit in it.

And the number 31—that’s personal.

My mom was born on 1/31.
